Bush, Schwarzenegger Meet, Talk Economy

President Bush Meets With Calif. Gov.-Elect Arnold Schwarzenegger, Talks Economy, War on Terror

The Associated Press
RIVERSIDE, Calif. Oct. 16 — President Bush is promising to share with California Gov.-Elect Arnold Schwarzenegger his optimism for a safer world and an economic recovery as he embarks on a tour of Asia that will focus on trade and the war on terror.
Bush and Schwarzenegger met privately in the president's hotel suite on Thursday before they both headed for nearby San Bernardino, where Bush was to give a speech designed to set the stage for his Asia trip. Schwarzenegger was to introduce him.
"I understand there have been a couple of changes here in California since last time I was around," Bush joked at a fund-raiser Wednesday evening.

There was a small demonstration of about 500 people against Bush. San Bernadino is quite a ways from more Democratic Los Angeles. I guess Bush didn't want to have a repeat of the protests last time he was here.

1. Wow, a critical mass of idiocy in one hotel room
It's a wonder Southern California wasn't wiped off the map.

8. They have made a two block perimeter around the place
Thank goodness it's off to side and not in a direct path between my house and job at the other end of Riverside. You should see the front page of the Texas Belo Corporation owned Press Enterprise, one big Giant picture above and Below the fold with * in a backdrop of US flags. Must of been * talking about his Happy War in Iraq, it would be hard to figure out why they had so many flags out if it were otherwise.

"Will dat back to us de eight billions dollars by Enron stolen get..."

"Whut's that?"

"Ach, by Gray Davis stolen."

"Ya don't want it back, chief! Ya want them poor people to get stiffed on services, so they get sick of givin' money to the gubmint! Tell 'em their money's bein' wasted."

"You want wasted to get?"

"After lunch, big guy. So when the public schools collapse..."

"Or blow up?"

"Or blow up, okay, we can privatize the schools! Privatize Social Security, privatize public utilities then deregulate 'em, sell off all your natural resources to Halliburton and Bechtel! No one'll care as long as their taxes are cut."

"You are genius!"

"Well, I do have an MBA."

And not give him one dime unless he lets the energy company lawsuit go through. Could he be charged with conspiracy?

11. I like this line...

Bush kept up the lighthearted remarks on stage, saying that he and Schwarzenegger had a lot in common.

"We both married well," Bush said. "Some accuse us of not being able to speak the language. We both have big biceps." As the audience laughed, Bush added, "Well, two out of three isn't bad."

Heck, they have other things in common. Arnie violated women, Shrub violated a country. Arnie's Father was a Nazi, Bush's grandfather worked with Nazis. Arnie got elected because of his name, Shrub got everything in life because of his name. I'm sure we can think of more things they have in common.
