9/11 Report 911 Pages Long (NY Post)

WASHINGTON - The long-awaited declassified report on 9/11, which could be released next week, is expected to clock in at precisely 911 pages -and that's no accident.

Sources say the report was originally around 900 pages but Eleanor Hill, the staff director of the House-Senate intelligence panel that conducted the Sept. 11 probe, insisted on stretching the report to 911 pages.

The report is expected to contain new details on the Saudi government's link the hijackers.

I'm all for symbolism and coded messages in popular media (hidden lentil-soup recipes and such), but that's a bit silly, especially for an official document.

That's also 11 extra pages the GPO has to copy at taxpayer expense...

9. Well, considering

the close ties our gov't has with the House of Saud, I would say that the extra 11 pages are most appropriate and indeed a bit telling. Are they sending * a message here?

Will the report include the plane full of Saudis that left the country shortly after the 9/11 attack- the only plane in the air nationwide at the time???

Inquiring minds wanna know.

11. Welcome to the avalanche of Bullshit

The most damming thing I heard yesterday was on my local radio station, The news director does a small report on 9/11 every Tuesday. On the report I heard that ten minutes after the first plane crashed the story was put out that Bin Laden was responsible for what was going on. In my judgment that is some pretty fast investigation.
