1. Link: Talks End Between LA Transit Agency, Mechanics' Union
A union official says unless negotiations turn around, Metropolitan Transportation Authority mechanics will strike tomorrow at midnight, making the prospect of hundreds of thousands of stranded commuters a reality.

4. Yeah, this hits my wallet.
I cannot afford a car because of the insurance, so I will have to borrow $50 a day on my VIsa to take a taxi to and from work.

Who I really feel sad for are those who cannot afford to borrow on the VIsa and are on fixed incomes. They'll be unable to get to the Dr, and when it comes to groceries, since the chains are on strike...

MEANWHILE, Where's ARNOLD?

Oh, i forgot, Greg Palast told us what he was doing!

3. Still in hurry to take over, Arnie?
You've been bugging Gray Davis to stop work. Take the lead on this if you need something to do!

5. I was just in LA last night
visiting a buddy and cruising sunset blvd. Enough excitement with the grocery empoyees picketing. Cars honking, etc... When the lights go out, LA is the last place in the world I would want to be. Should get interesting.
