Taylor wants to go home - Nigeria/Liberia
Lagos - Exiled former Liberian president Charles Taylor vowed on Saturday not to plot against a new interim government due to take power next week with a mission to restore peace to his shattered country.

Taylor's spokesperson Vaanii Paasewe said by telephone from the former warlord's new home in southeastern Nigeria that he wished interim leader Gyude Bryant and Liberia's UN-mandated peacekeeping force well.

"We want to assure you from Calabar that the president will do nothing to derail the peace process," Paasewe said.
