Two foreigners kidnapped in Gaza

"Two foreigners, including one Briton, have been kidnapped in the Gaza Strip, British diplomats said.

The two were seized in the Bureij area of the central Gaza Strip, according to the Arabic TV network al-Jazeera.

The area is a stronghold of Palestinian militants who are vying for power with the elected Palestinian Authority.

Gunmen in Gaza have seized a number people, including Palestinian officials and foreigners, in the past four years, but usually free them within hours."
