State Dept. Cautions on Travel to Iran

WASHINGTON - Americans were advised Thursday by the State Department to think hard before deciding to travel to Iran, especially along the border with Iraq.

U.S. citizens may be at risk of harassment or kidnapping, the department said in a travel warning.

Though urging Americans to "carefully consider" any planned travel there, the statement did not directly advise U.S. citizens to keep away from Iran under all circumstances.

Yesterday, Irag...today Iran....let's see who is next? Syria, Saudia Arabia, Afghanistan. Basically don't travel anywhere since Bushco has pissed off most of the world.

2. Especially on the border of Iraq?
Because you might get run over by a few hundred of our tanks crossing that border soon.

3. uh duh
I wonder if The State Department and the Corporate Media *really know* how much of a joke, even REGULAR PEOPLE (not Net-Heads in particular) think they are?

You can only digest pablum so long before you question the folks that dish it out.

The lies are not as blatant because they can easily be refuted. The repetition of 9/11 is falling on deaf ears.

It's down to the crunch for these evil people. The only question is to see how slimed the media rats become as they jump the masters' ship. :P

12. Kind of like "Swimming Across Cambodia."
Fly-fishing Across Iran. I'd go there to catch a blue-gill bass! I've caught large- and small-mouth bass and blue-gill bream, but never a large-mouth bream or a blue-gill bass. Got a guide?

13. There are a lot of blue-gill in Southern Idaho....
in the Snake River... along with a lot of other weird fish. In fact, this was the river that they found a sturgeon in a hundred years or so ago, when they thought that fish had been extinct many thousands of years.

I remember when I was in high school in Southern Idaho, and a friend of mine and I went down to Dierke's Lake (formerly an apple orchard, now a sunken "bottomless lake" in southern Idaho). He dove into the water and came up with a baby blue-gill bass up his nose, which he desperately tried to remove. It was hilarious; wish you coulda been there!

14. I've fished the Snake ..
It was back when I worked for Ken Lay (pre-Enron) at Transco (Trans-Continental Gas Pileline Corp). I was a Lear 55 and Lockheed JetStar-II pilot. We were always in Jackson Hole for "meetings." Sat there fishing for 10 days one summer. Great work!

6. I saw a travel show on Iran a few weeks ago.
It's a wonder, beautiful country, filled with wonderful welcoming people. Wish I could say the same for the U.S.
