KERBALA, Iraq, June 28 (Reuters) - A suicide bomber dressed in a police uniform blew himself up in a hospital in the town of Musayyib, 75 km (40 miles) south of Baghdad on Tuesday, killing three people and wounding 13, police said.

A police spokesman said the bomber blew himself up at the police guard station inside the hospital. One of those killed and four of the injured were police officers, he said.

He said it was not clear whether the bomber was a policeman or used the police uniform as a disguise.

Suicide bombings by attackers in police or military uniform have become an increasing threat in Iraq, where violence has worsened since an elected Shi'ite- and Kurdish-led government took office two months ago.
