Qorei quits as Palestinian PM
It is not clear if Arafat has accepted Qorei's resignation after parliament session was delayed indefinitely.


RAMALLAH, West Bank - Palestinian prime minister Ahmed Qorei tendered his resignation Thursday as a session of parliament in which he was to unveil his new government's program was postponed, a source close to Yasser Arafat said.

"Ahmed Qorei has submitted his resignation to the president," the source said.

"Because of differences in opinion about the government, it has been decided to postpone the session indefinitely," acting speaker Ibrahim Abu al-Naja said Thursday.

Everything seems to be proceeding as Sharon hoped it would--the big land grab and ethnic displacement of the Palestinians may not be too far away.
