U.S. Airstrikes Kill Afghan Militants (6/19)
KABUL, Afghanistan - U.S. warplanes and attack helicopters opened fire on a group of suspected rebels in southern Afghanistan Sunday after the ambush of a coalition convoy, killing between 15 and 20 militants, the U.S. military said.

The airstrikes occurred in southern Helmand province after rebels had pinned down coalition ground troops with rocket and small-arms fire, the military said in a statement.

2. I wonder if the bride and groom survived this one.
Presstitute Rule 22A: Anyone killed by US bombs is a "militant" or "suspected rebel" even if under the age of 10. Never question whether "suspected" (always in passive voice) warrants "killed" or await any rational confirmation.

5. And, as we have seen in Iraq and Viet Nam,
and as the USSR discovered in Afghanistan, mere firepower cannot defeat a determined enemy. More money and lives WASTED.

6. Hmmm, didn't bush tout Afghanistan as a 'success'?
Didn't he tout it as a model for Iraq? LOL, I guess he was right, they are both 'successes' in his delusional mind.

9.  US raid 'kills 20' in Afghanistan
US warplanes have killed up to 20 suspected rebels in an air strike in Afghanistan, the US military says.

The strike came after a patrol came under attack from rebels in the south-west province of Helmand and called for air support.

A US military spokesman said there were no casualties in the patrol, which was made up of both US and Afghan forces.

There has been renewed violence by suspected militants in the area in recent months...>MORE<

10. Since everything is suspect, I suspect the 20 suspected rebels...
were really farmers. They probably killed 20 suspected farmers.

US airstrike kills at least 15 Afghan militants
KABUL, June 19 (Reuters) 1:25 AM

The U.S. military said it killed 15-20 militants with air strikes in southern Afghanistan on Sunday after a joint patrol of U.S. and Afghan troops came under attack in the latest in a wave of violence to rock the country.

The strikes in Helmand province came as Taliban guerrillas said they had executed a district police chief and seven other men from among 31 people they were holding prisoner in the neighbouring province of Kandahar.

Earlier on Sunday, three rockets hit the key southern city of Kandahar. One seriously wounded two children while another landed near a U.S. base but caused no casualties.

The violence was part of a surge of activity by the Taliban and allied militants in recent months in which hundreds have died, raising fears for the security of parliamentary elections due to be held on Sept. 18.

14. They are not suspected anything.....

aren't they required to wear their Insurgent ID Badges, their Gunmen ID Badges, and their Militant ID Badges with their photo and fingerprints on them in plain sight?
Sometimes they may miss the little gunmen Badges that the children wear, but what the hey you can't miss'em all.
They can always fall back on the we don't target civilian defense, that wears well for the media.

Bush might be selling hogwash to the Aemrican public through a controlled media. Fact is the world just waiting for the Americans people to wake up. Of course wheather US will hand over a President for war crime l am not too sure.

The challenge facing the future President is how can it regain back the trust confidence of the people of this world.

Bush make you guys a bed now you got to sleep in it.
