TYRE, Lebanon - Voters go to the polls in southern Lebanon on Sunday in the second round of national elections, free of Syria’s grip after three decades and with an anti-Israeli coalition led by Shiite Muslim group Hezbollah assured of victory. snip

The so-called “Resistance, Liberation and Development” coalition of Hezbollah and its rival Shiite movement, Amal, are set to steamroll the opposition in the south, with a pledge to keep on with the armed resistance against Israel.
