U.S. sees no sign of Iran abandoning nuclear aims

Iran has shown no sign of abandoning what U.S. officials conclude is an active nuclear weapons program and has sought to divide the international community by threatening to resume uranium processing, a top U.S. diplomat said on Thursday.

Nicholas Burns, undersecretary of state for political affairs, told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee the United States had clear commitments from its allies to deny Iran's nuclear ambitions and seek consequences if Tehran violated a November 2004 agreement to suspend nuclear activities.

But Burns was adamant that U.S. allies had given
President Bush a clear commitment to deny Iran nuclear weapons and recognize the need for consequences if Tehran failed to adhere to its international commitments.

"The international community stands united: Iran must not be permitted to develop the capacity to build or deliver a nuclear weapon," said Burns, who told lawmakers that the United States was in daily contact with European negotiators.

2. Iran sees no sign of US abandoning nuclear arms.
This is a farce, it is not legal for the US to tell other countries they cant have the weapons we have a right to have. That is absolute bullshit.

3. They'd Be Fucking Stupid As Hell To Abandon It
Considering the rise of the 4th Reich and it's war on Islam and aims of world domination.

5. So, of course, our only course of action now...
is to bomb the living crap out of that country. We'll start, say, next month.

Is Bushco in the process of "fixing the facts" on what is currently a "thin" case for war? (to quote the Downing Street Memo).

6. Where is the proof it's a weapons program?
After the Iraq WMD fiasco, why isn't the rest of the world demanding proof from the administration?
