Laura Bush to Make Solo Middle East Trip
WASHINGTON - First lady Laura Bush will make a solo visit to the Middle East later this week and make a speech before the World Economic Forum in Jordan, the White House announced Tuesday.

Mrs. Bush leaves Thursday night for a five-day, jam-packed trip to Jordan, Israel and Egypt. White House press secretary Scott McClellan said the trip "is an opportunity for Mrs. Bush to reinforce our commitment to promoting freedom and supporting women and girls across the Middle East."

The centerpiece of her travels is a May 21 speech before the World Economic Forum in Amman, Jordan.

1. Is she going to offer them driving tips?
What possibly could she have to say that anybody in the ME would give a crap about?

... until someone finally takes out her plane or helicopter. What better way to get the entire country behind a full ramp-up of the military and the new, improved Draft?!?

6. So her stand-up comedy career is taking off, huh...
I think choosing the Middle East to start her solo tour may be a bit too much (specially with a female not wearing a bee-keeper's suit). She should start touring with the "Blue Collar TV" crowd first, doing the "you may be a redneck" routine, and she should start in Branson, Missouri.

one more piece of proof that Commandeer Cuckoo Bananas is not really
President.

C.C.B. would go to Jordan and look for Michael Jordan.

11. Is this part of her focus on 'gangs'? lol
One can see this in two ways, both bad for chicken Georgie: One, he has to send his wife in hopes she isn't as detested as he is or: two, he was told he wasn't welcome, under the table, due to the cost to protect him from the millions that detest him.

I can hear those two now:

"But, George, I don't want to go to the Middle East."

"Pickles, you'll go and that's that. I don't want to hear another word outta your yap about it. Now, go get me a g'damn beer."

28. Oh, this is a laugh...
From the lying lips of Scott McClellan, her visit
"is an opportunity for Mrs. Bush to reinforce our commitment to promoting freedom and supporting women and girls across the Middle East."

I wonder how the women in Iraq, who used to be treated better than women in any other country in the Mideast, who used to be doctors and lawyers, and anything else they wanted, will feel about this? Thanks to Chimp, they no longer feel safe being on the streets of their own cities alone anymore.

Everything this administration says and does infuriates me. Maybe Laura will just recommend Xanax to the women, and tell them of the wonders it does for her.

30. Shouldn't she spend some time in Iraq?
I mean, its all liberated and everything and gee whiz, they're throwing flowers, right?

Wouldn't it be nice if the Iraqis were allowed to demonstrate exactly how appreciative they are to her and to her husband in person?

31. Maybe it's to give Jeff and George
more time together taking bike rides in the park.

I imagine it must be difficult for Gannon to hook up with anyone at the White house these days.

Does anyone know if Gannon is signing into the White House anymore?
