1,200 Clinton fans line up at book signing (Cambridge)
The Hillary Rodham Clinton publicity whirlwind blew through Harvard Square yesterday, and an efficient, well-orchestrated, even presidential-caliber operation it was.

Some order was in order, given that Clinton devotees had begun lining up outside the Charles Hotel in Harvard Square as early as 6 a.m., hoping for a special moment with her during a visit to promote her new memoir, ''Living History.''

By noon, when Clinton was scheduled to appear, a large ballroom at the hotel was crammed with eager men and women, and hundreds more stood in a queue downstairs that snaked through the hotel's courtyard and down a brick alleyway, almost all the way to the Charles River.

In all, about 1,200 people came out to see Clinton. The event attracted a wide range of ages and ethnicities and almost as many women as men.

Wish I had been there. I'm really enjoying the book.

3. I'm enjoying the book also....
Some of us were so caught up in the impeachment hearings etc.
that all the work that the Clinton administration and Hillary
herself did was lost in the fray.

11. Me too!!!!!!!
I don't read nearly as much as I would like but I find her book fascinating. I had forgotten a lot of what went on in the early years. She will become President, I only hope it won't be too late for America.

4. Letter to the editor
in my a.m. r.w. rag-
how do you answer this level of ignorant ravings?

Hillary's book nothing but self-serving pablum

All those wonderful Americans, mostly women, who shelled out from $14 to $28 to purchase the book "Living History," written by Hillary Clinton, and made her a multi-millionaire, have been duped by one of the greatest lady liars in this century.

What they purchased was a book full of self-serving pap.

One definition of pap taken from the World Book Dictionary is: "ideas or facts watered down to a characterless consistency, considered as innocuous and as unsuitable for adults as baby food."

Claiming a zone of privacy, this prevaricator avoided discussing how a neophyte like her parlayed a very small investment in cattle futures that grew to over $100,000.

She also avoided any discussion of the role she played in the trashing of Vince Foster's papers, her legal involvement and manipulations in the Whitewater scandal, her participation in the Travelgate and Filegate scandals and her inept attempt to saddle all Americans with an unwieldy and government-run health care program that was fraught with all kinds of pitfalls and constraints.

For those of you who may be interested in learning more about this person, I am sure you can find copies of the booklet, "What Every American Should Know," published by The American Conservative Union, and the book written by Barbara Olson, "Hell to Pay: The Unfolding Story of Hillary Rodham Clinton."

This woman is dangerous, and if you think not, then you have to believe in the tooth fairy.

6. Obviously, this stuff hasn't worked
and according to the FReepers, Coulter's book is already on the downslide, despite having been released after Hillary's. They blame it on bad marketing. I guess the bad reviews from their ow – Rabinowitz, Horowitz, & Sullivan – had nothing to do with it.

5. Hillary's book is a wonderful story.
Simple. Straight-forward. Such facts as: She was at BOTH conventions in 1968, in Miami AND Chicago! She has been newsworthy since at least age 12! (What was Dubya doing at 12, besides blowing up cats and pulling wings off flies?) Hard-worker who earned her position!
Reich-wing hates Hillary because she is such a BETTER human being than they can ever dream to be!

7. The right wing hates Hillary because she's what they fear most.
A strong, intelligent, fearless woman with more power and brains than they'll ever have.

8. Not that great.
I'm reading "Living History" and the "The Clinton Wars" (plus a couple other non related books). One fact that you have to give the critics of Hillary's book is that it is not that well written. A little too sugar coated for my tastes. It's like she is afraid to offend anyone. Of course she never claimed to be a writer so it's unfair to criticize her too much on style points. I recommend Blumenthals book as a better read.

13. I was pissed; I didn't even know about it, or I would have tried to go.
I heard it on the news last night, after the fact. That's what I get for just enjoying myself over the weekend and ignoring the news.
