Copley home to creation-based science museum
Cleveland/Akron/Canton area "West Side Leader"

http://www.akron.com/20050512/wsl3.ASP

(note: My comment in italics)

William Sanderson displays the jawbone of a Wooly Mammoth and the teeth of a pterodactyl, but at his soon-to-open Akron Fossils & Science Center located in Copley, a different kind of idea emerges.

<snip>

Sanderson believes dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures co- existed with humans during the time between the creation of man and the flood of Noah as told in the Bible. The Ice Age then followed the flood, he said.

<snip to add comment>

Okay, someone PLEASE tell me which passage in the Bible (any version) mentions the ice age? Mrs. ZBDent doesn't understand why I feel this guy just negated his argument. But she's tired, and hasn't eaten yet.

My limited knowledge of the bible (I have read it a couple of times, but not studiously - I've read the Lord of the Rings more times) apparently is better than hers.

But you think about it. We have word-for-word documentation of Adam's conversation with God, and all the lineages spelled out from then on. God covered the Earth with water, destroying all land-based life save the creatures on the ark.

So, where is the mention of the Earth being covered with ice?

1. Creation-based science is an oxymoron. This guy is just a moron.
So why does God hate dinosaurs? And how did a flood kill off the plesiosaurs and megalodon sharks?

I want my pet Utahraptor, damnit!

20. Don't forget the trilobites.
Thousands of species of trilobites (underwater creatures), made extinct by a flood. Tens of billions of individual trilobites, maybe hundreds of billions, maybe more all killed by a flood in the span of a year. Not to mention all the strange creatures in the Burgess Shales.

27. And yet the fishies survived.
And lobsters and crabs and starfish and sea anemones and squid and sponges and corals and plankton...

There must be something odd about those trilobites.

2. ROFL!!.....Dinosaurs and humans co-existing??
Um...yeah, there's alot of scientific evidence to back up that...

Why do these idiots even bother when they're so blatantly wrong?

10. I'd like to see evidence of one T-Rex chomped human skeleton.
That should be fairly easy to quantify. I'm waiting. (PS: God built in millions of years of carbon dating variance into the co-existing humans and dinosaurs as a joke).

21. Actually (semi-serious point), dinosaurs cannot be carbon-dated
Carbon dating becomes useless when things get millions of years old. You have to use other elements.

3. Humans and Dinosaurs
Someone never seen the Jurassic Park trilogy.

Tiny Human: Hey, lizard.
T-Rex: Hmmmm?
Tiny Human: I said it to you!
T-Rex: *stomp*

Yeah, plan worked out real well. Noah had to have balls size of Alaska to get larger dinos on board his ship.

4. I want to know
How did Noah get a Trex, Mammoth, and all other dinosaurs on the ark. Was it faith or a miricle? When the angels came down and mated with the earth women and had monsters for children-wasn't that a sort of evolutionary thing to happen? Too many questions for me.

25. No, but you know, Noah was busy with the ark and just forgot to mention it
Even though he does claim he was instructed to bring two of each type of animal along. Maybe he didn't forget to mention it, maybe he was covering his ass, hoping God wouldn't realize he didn't follow instructions.

And as was the custom in those days, dinosaurs were buried by tunneling beneath the ice and placing their bones inside of rocks.

8. Ice age in bible?
That text would be found in the second chapter and very first verse of Bullshitigus.

It reads "And the Lord God finding dinosaurs an affront to the sensibilites of all involved sent a covering of ice to destroy the evil on the earth." It goes on but it is more a repetion of the same theme. It is found, oddly , only in the 'Liberty University' translation of the scriptures.

9. Will Colonel Sanderson tell us HOW Adam and Eve
made 2 kids; one killed the other, and then nothing is said as to how the rest of human civilization developed - can he elaborate? Did Cain boink Eve a few thousand times?

Also, how come humans of the Bible era lived to be 700, yet humans in the 1800s lived to be in their 50s on average, with humans of today living to their late 70s? If people at age 70 look gross, how must a 700 year old look?!

they gave me directions from a map that said i should head west and take a left just before the sign that says "beyond is the edge of the world, here be monsters and dragons". they said it should only take me three of the sun's revolutions around the earth to get there.

It's worth the free price of admission if you are ever in Santee and have a half hour to kill. It has an "Ice Age" room too.

But one day we'll prove that carbon dating and fossils and nuclear science and all that nonsense about the earth revolving around the sun is false, and then who will be laughing? Huh? Who then?

Not you, cause we'll stretch you on the rack and put thumbscrews on yer tongue until we prove we're right!

civilizations will uncover the museum and say what a primitive civilization we had. In the meanwhile, if any foreign visitors come visit, they can have a big laugh (and talk about what a primitive civilization we have).

30. Presented by the Flat Earth Society.
I am amazed there are people who honestly refute plain facts. They honestly believe that people sprang forth in current form. The notion would be laughable if it were a historical oddity, but, alas, people must be educated and their outlook reformed.
