Don't worry the government will make this blow over in a couple days until it happens again. We wouldn't want anyone questioning why we are they would we?

Masked gunmen assassinated two senior Iraqi officers in separate attacks in Baghdad Thursday, official sources said.

Lt. Col. Iyad Imad Mehdi, who occupies a senior position at the ministry of defense, was gunned down in his car in the Jihad neighborhood in west Baghdad while on his way to work.

5. The insurgents have excellent intelligence
They must have plenty of moles in the new government and in the upper echelons of the "armed forces".

6. I have heard of Gen. Mehdi.
This is not some little guy they knocked off. In fact, I think this is a guy that they were believed to have knocked off before but it came out it was a false report. Guess this time, they made sure...

Yeah... the reporters went nuts 'cause they'd had a briefing by Gen. Mehdi just a few hours before... can't remember for what, was probably over a month ago...

8. If seriously asking, he's been talking up "freedom" worldwide
Saying FDR didn't do enough to support it in WWII and he and the US are now correcting that mistake.

9. Doesn't the US have the highest incarceration rate in the world?
Hasn't the Bush administration incarcerated at least 40,000 Iraqis?

What freedom?

A platoon was decimated. Those soldiers aren't free.

Does America care about anything other that its next meal?
