U.S. Moving 'Remarkable' Amount of Military Assets Toward Korea
My Comment: Maybe just a minor adjustment in Naval positions? Maybe?

The Korea Herald, May 5, South Korea:

U.S. Moving 'Remarkable' Amount of Military Assets Toward Korea

The U.S. military is beefing up its military capabilities in the Pacific by deploying high-tech aircraft and Navy vessels amid worsening assessments of the prospects of an early solution of the North Korean nuclear standoff.

B-2 Spirit stealth bombers and F-15E fighter jets were deployed in Guam recently on a rotation basis. Experts noted the bombers and fighters have the range to strike North Korea's nuclear facilities and high-profile stocks of missiles in the event of any conflict.

<snip>

"However, several Aegis-equipped destroyers and cruisers have operated in the East Sea as part of several exercises held in conjunction with the Republic of Korea Navy in the past several months," said David Oten, chief public information official at United States Forces Korea. "Each of these exercises was held in accordance with international maritime law and in full compliance with the principles of freedom of navigation."

These military developments in the western Pacific are part of the U.S. deterrent against any possible North Korean aggression, but also could heighten tensions on the Korean Peninsula as Washington's patience wears thin in dealing with Pyongyang, some Korean military officials said.

30. Canadians, come on down!
Here in Minnesota we can just leave the doors open up north. Or the Canadian Navy could sail across Lake of the Woods. We'll leave the lights on for you.

U.S. TENTATIVELY NAMES HARDLINER AS N.K. RIGHTS POINT MAN

Officials connected with the North Korean human rights movement said Thursday the U.S. has tentatively decided to name former White House domestic policy advisor and noted neocon Jay Lefkowitz as special envoy for human rights in North Korea.

The special envoy will be tasked with making and execution of U.S. policy concerning North Korean human rights in an ambassador-level position created when the North Korean Human Rights Act went into effect in October.

The U.S. had put off naming an envoy for the last six months to avoid provoking North Korea, but analysts believe the naming of a neoconservative at this juncture shows Washington is no longer prepared to tread softly now that tensions over Pyongyang's nuclear program are approaching crisis level.

13. What else will we do with all these assets?
I guess we have to put all this stuff somewhere. Take a look
at the from jane's:

Defence expenditure in the US will equal that of the rest of
the world combined within 12 months

And we can't fix social security without lowering my benefits
by 60%. Disgusting.

Like I always say, let China and Japan sit on the Koreans. WHat the fuck are we doing there and why in hell don't we get our people out of the truce area. Let the S. Koreans defend their own damned country. It's 50 fucking years we are guarding the fucking border for them.

27. This is how it started in
Iraq, I got a call from my husband (navy)who was in the middle east in 2002 early summer, he couldn't say much but he wasn't happy about it. It wasn't until the Fall you could start to see the pieces of the puzzle in place.

So in short it all starts with posturing and troop placements (pawns) to see which is the bigger Rooster in the hen house. Don't you hate macho bullshit!
