2. More blood on chimp's hands.
Another letter for Rummy to sign.
Another casket to be secreted home without fanfare.
Another family devastated.
Meanwhile, a woman who ran away from her impending wedding is big news.
Go figure.

Not that you'd know from Runaway Bride coverage, world without end, Amen.

8. 14 if you include the pilots of the F-18s
One has been located and I can only assume the other is dead as well. 1589 by my count. :(

6. The Republicans want to hide the deaths
They have been from Day 1. They don't want to relive the embarrassment of "Mission Accomplished" and such other Bush disasters.

7. At the airport?
Edited on Mon May-02-05 11:43 PM by teryang
This and the recent shootdown of the Bulgarian helocopter are really bad indicators of the security situation in Iraq.

I'm sure the administration is praying that the loss of the two A-18s was some sort of accident.

12. I thought of that too.
You would think the airport would be covered like a blanket. I assume an inside job, indicating that even the apparently trustworthy Iraqis (from the occupation's point of view) aren't necessarily on board.

11. we keep counting dead soldiers one at a time
but what is the total? Have we reached 1700 dead soldiers yet? The count of Iraqis must be in the hundreds of thousands now. Very little makes me smile either...must be time to up my meds.:-(
