We successfully sealed area, border volunteers claim
http://www.suntimes.com/output/news/cst-nws-border22.html

TUCSON, Ariz. -- The organizers of a group of volunteers patrolling the Mexican border for illegal immigrants are declaring the Minuteman Project a success before it is even over. But others say it has done little more than make noise.

''They're taking credit for securing the border, and surely no one with any credibility believes that,'' said Michael Nicley, chief of the U.S. Border Patrol's Tucson sector, which encompasses most of the Arizona border.

3. Throw Enough Bodies At A Problem And Your Bound To Get Results
The Border Patrol obviously does not like having their noses rubbed in the dirt.

Classic human behavior.

They want the attention.
Granted they can't do anything but bark, but they do it nonetheless.:)

8. "surely no one with any credibility believes that"
Ah, but the people of Bushworld hold gullibility in far higher esteem than credibility.

14. Just curious, but don't these fellows have jobs?
What kind of work do they do that allows them to just take up and head for the Arizona/Mexico border to do this kind of thing? Won't they be there for several weeks or months?

15. It's only supposed to last for the month of April.
I read an article that said in the count of 800 'Minutemen' who have participated, one shift of 8 hours was all it took for them to be part of that 800. Very few are there for the entire month.

Also, in articles before the 'project' started, I read where many were retired.
