Car Bomb Blast Kills 8 in Shiite Mosque

April 22, 2005

A car bomb exploded Friday at a Shiite mosque in the capital, killing at least eight people, police said.

The blast happened during midday prayers at al-Subeih mosque, said police Col. Ahmed Aboud. A number of people were also believed wounded, he said.
