After promises to blow up boxes, governor's plan gathers dust
Oh sorry actor-whore, Culeeforneeya isn't just a big movie set after all.
SACRAMENTO (AP) - More than a year has passed since Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger made his famed vow to blow up the boxes of state government and defrost a "mastodon frozen in time." But California's hulking state bureaucracy stands today virtually as it did a year ago.
Schwarzenegger's ballot measures - aimed at such Democratic stalwarts as labor unions and public education - has already cost him in the polls and will make delivering much more difficult.

2. Not True...
"But California's hulking state bureaucracy stands today virtually as it did a year ago."

Not true. It is way more fucked up than it was when this Nazi took over. It is more fucked up because Arnold has installed his lieutenants as the executive staff in every state agency, board and commission. All of these people came from the industries that, in many cases, the agency they now control, was intended to regulate. The foxes are guarding the hen house. It is also way more fucked up because moral among the state employees is very low. State employees hate this governor more than the average citizen. It is way more fucked up because too many state employees are leaving. It is a huge mess, just waiting to get a whole lot worse.

And trust me, the Sacramento Bee has not helped the situation. They have run far too many propaganda pieces that were not based in truth, but rather opinions writen as truth and then printed as news. They usually appear on the front page of the Sunday Bee. No better than Faux News.

3. Does he still plan to go after teachers' pensions?
I read he was dropping the fight against firefighters and nurses. Does he think he can win against teachers unions?

4. The Sac Bee is no good?
I use it for state/Sacramento news because sfgate.com is a joke (I live in the SFBA). I also read the LAT. Do you have a recommendation for a good statewide paper?
