High school conservative club holds anti-gay protest
Edited on Thu Apr-07-05 10:27 AM by Rapcw
ROHNERT PARK, Calif. Things got a little tense today at Rancho Cotate High School in Rohnert Park as about a dozen students held a protest over an upcoming day of silence being observed by the campus.
April 13th is set aside by some to honor the gay and lesbian community nationwide, but these high school students don't think it's right.

They wore anti-gay sweat shirts and waved anti-gay signs as trucks drove around town emblazoned anti-gay slogans.

The protest was organized by the school's Conservative Club and its student president and founder, Tim Beuler.

get them to sign up and put their money where their mouth is. Gay is the new "Jew" in the USA...and with Bush in office these little snots think its no holds barred to attack people.

4. It's only fitting that "Conservative Club" has become
a euphemism for the new wave of Hitler youth. When are people going to realize how assonine behavior like that is?

3. What a wonderul shool activity for these young people to participate in.
What is wrong with people? If anyone were to hold an anti-conservative protest, they would be morally outraged and the media would be all over it. I bet Congree would step in and pass special legislation.

5. Repression
Sounds like some repressed gay boys to me. What a better way to come off as straight.

At least their hate shows through. Often these stunts backfire and make people more understanding of the discrimination faced by the GLBT community. Fred Phelps has done wonders for the GLBT community every time he pulls a stunt.

This is why they can claim we're weak on defense. Have a rally calling for DeLay's resignation, or better yet, accusing the Bush White House of treason. Show them the slightest backbone, and they run like rabbits!

8. The guy has quite a history
So in case you haven’t been following the national media hullaballoo over nearby Rancho Cotate High School’s new Conservative Club, it’s the story of a kid named Tim Beuler who listened to an awful lot of Rush Limbaugh and Michael Savage, and then decided that the teachers at his school were attempting to brainwash their students with liberal propaganda. So he started this club.

And now it’s a big deal, in large part because of a flyer written and distributed by Mr. Beuler on behalf of the club, in which he states that “Liberals welcome every Muhammad, Jamul and Jose who wishes to leave his third world state and come to America — mostly illegally — to rip off our health care system, Balkanize our language and destroy our political system.”

He has plenty of hatred to spread around.

14. This really makes me sad...
especially since it is so close to home. Even here in one of the bluest areas of one of the bluest states we have hatred and bigotry like this.

... that says it all.

ARTIST: Rodgers and Hammerstein
TITLE: You've Got to Be Carefully Taught
(from South Pacific)

You've got to be taught to hate and fear
You've got to be taught from year to year
It's got to be drummed in your dear little ear
You've got to be carefully taught

You've got to be taught to be afraid
Of people whose eyes are oddly made
And people whose skin is a different shade
You've got to be carefully taught

You've got to be taught before it's too late
Before you are six or seven or eight
To hate all the people your relatives hate
You've got to be carefully taught
You've got to be carefully taught
