September 27 4:56:00 PM EST

WASHINGTON, Sep 27, 2003 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- President Bush Saturday repeated the United States ended an Iraqi regime "that cultivated ties to terror while it built weapons of mass destruction."

<more> (but not much)

What is the hell is up with this nonsense. What have these sneaky thugs gone and done? Or is this guy just totally insane?

Sorry, this just really freaked meout.

1. Technically true
They did produce WMDs in the 1980s. Bush will refer to that when he is questioned for being such a pathetic Chimp.

They are deliberately confusing the uninformed.

6. Oh, Those WMDs (chemical weapons, actually), the ones we sold them
to use on the Iranians.

By all accounts, they actually did use them on the Iranians.

2. Equivocation
As long as Bush doesn't reference a time line, it's a true statement. Saddam developed WMDs in the eighties. It appears he destroyed them in the nineties. There is no evidence that he had any during the time Bush and his junta were insisting that he did.

Equivocation falls under the cetgory of lying. Is the corporate press calling him on it, or are they being compliant?

5. This is actually laughable. And when he comes out with
the "well, he did in the 80's" response, we can make him look like they made Clinton look after the "definition of 'is'" thing.

7. I guess Bush didn't know about all the trouble Colin Powell has had
because he told Egypt back in 2001 that Saddam didn't have anyway left to do any damage. Oh, that's right...I forgot, Bush doesn't read newspapers, does he?
