Rallying Democrats, Dean blasts Santorum
Nice way to start off the day, but of course I had to go to pg 5, 2nd section of the once great Phila Inquirer.

Democratic National Chairman Howard Dean ripped into U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum at a party fund-raiser in Old City last night.

Dean, a former Vermont governor and former Democratic presidential candidate, called Santorum, a Republican who is up for reelection in Pennsylvania in 2006, a "liar" and "right-winger" who actually lives in Virginia.

"He doesn't tell the truth," Dean told a gathering of about 150 at Bluezette on Market Street.

Dean said Santorum had voted to kill Amtrak, an important service in Pennsylvania, and had then turned around and written a piece for The Inquirer saying he supported Amtrak.

1. Howard Dean, one of the few democrats not afraid to tell the truth.
Too bad he's not getting more media attention. But that's by design and conspiracy, media design and a conspiracy with the bush** cabal.

13. There was a thread w/ links to all his recent appearances ...
I just did a quick search and can't locate it.
Will dig further later.
Suffice it to say, he hasn't been on vacation like the Chimpster.

11. Even if it was "just" 150 . . .
That's still about 10 times more than the number of idiots getting wall-to-wall coverage on CNN right now.

6. It's about bloody time!!!!
Dean is now the spokesman for the party and needs to be more visable!

In my opinion the party needs to define what we stand for and Dean needs to keep hammering it home and also attacking targets of opportunity like Santorum ( the grand bull moose of targets!).

You couldn't ask for a better example of a right wing, Bushite desciple who can be exposed and made an example of.

8. Dean was told that he could not set policy, which is a way of telling him
that he should not steal the limelight from the Sheep or Dem leaders on the Hill.

I think that Dean is busy building the national infrastructure for the Dem Party, state by state, and that requires a lot of work and energy on his part right now. By staying out of the national limelight, Dean is giving the Hill Dems or Sheep time to act like leaders, but of course, they are fumbling opportunities.

It's not Dean's fault that the Hill Dems can't act like courageous leaders. I suppose that when he gets back into the national spotlight, he will fill the leadership vaccum the Hill Dems have created. Of course, this will prompt more attacks from Hill Dems on Dean to remain silent because they are incompetent fools and his natural leadership skills show that all too clearly.

9. So long as his party members keep betraying us
telling the truth and trying to be rational isn't going to go very far.

I understand that he's trying to lead by example- but unless we can also take action to get rid of the Lieberman's and Conrad's of the party, it's not going to amount for much.

10. It's not just a few elected Democrats that betray us
It's most of them at the federal level.

Look at the recent Senate vote on the Schiavo case - how many in our party were willing to stand up to the Republicans? How many caved in because it was the easy way out?

"That frothy mixture of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the by-product of anal sex."

LOL! Is that why he hate homosexuals so much? He blames them for his miserable existence?

16. He swung the bat and hit a triple.
Or at least a stand-up double. Good shot, Doctor. Santorum (isn't that Latin for 'asshole' *Kerrey) is a liar. And a punk.
