One Killed in Blast at S.C. Duct-Tape Plant

COLUMBIA, S.C. Mar 31, 2005 — An explosion late Wednesday rocked a plant that makes duct tape, shooting a fireball into the air and shaking homes a mile away. One employee was killed, officials said.

The blast at the Intertape Polymer Group plant happened shortly before 11 p.m., said Bradley Anderson, Columbia fire chief.

Firefighters contained the blaze less than an hour after the explosion, although a small fire continued to burn two hours after the blast, Anderson said.

3. I wonder if the value of Tom Ridge's Stock holdings will go down.
The best thing this company had going for it was when that "Whack-Job" was in charge of scaring the crap out of seniors to buy its product.

My aunt (who used to be in a state of Terror all the time) got me to buy her six rolls of their product. She still has it.

It goes bad over time as the sticky component hardens and becomes almost useless.
