TOPEKA, Kan. - A Fort Riley solider will face a court martial in June for the deaths of two other soldiers at a home in rural Kansas, the Army announced Thursday.

Sgt. Aaron Stanley, 22, of Bismarck, N.D., is charged with two counts of premeditated murder in the shootings of Staff Sgt. Matthew Werner, 30, of Oxnard, Calif., and Spc. Christopher D. Hymer, 23, of Nevada, Mo. The men died in October in a house in Clay Center, about 30 miles from Fort Riley. Authorities have not revealed a possible motive for the crimes.

Maj. Gen. Dennis Hardy, the post's commander, made the decision to court martial Stanley last week, said Sam Robinson, Fort Riley spokeswoman.

Also charged is Sgt. Eric Colvin, 23, of Papillion, Neb. A decision on whether he will face a court martial hasn't been made, Robinson said.
