U.S. Says It May Need New Ways to Deal with N. Korea
Edited on Mon Mar-21-05 12:20 PM by Rose Siding
BEIJING (Reuters) - Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Monday Washington and its Asian allies would have to find new ways of dealing with North Korea if it continued to shun nuclear disarmament talks.

Rice, concluding a sweep through Asia designed to revive the negotiations, also gave her strongest hint to date that the United States was prepared to report North Korea to the United Nations should the talks fail.

"Obviously, everyone is aware of the other options in the international system," Rice told a news conference in Beijing.

"Of course if we cannot find a way to resolve the North Korean issue in this way (through six-party talks), then we will have to find other means to do it."

She did not elaborate.

1. LOL, same old shit
Throw out non-specific threats so no one and everyone can mis-interpret her empty phrases. She is the antithesis of 'diplomatic' and the epitome of incompetence on display, imo.

3. Stop LYING about North Korea would be a start.
US Intell tells bush & Rice that NK sold X to Pakistan, (a transaction that doesn't concern the world) and Pakistan later sold X, Y, and Z to Libya (a very serious no-no).

bush & Ricethen LIE and tell the world NK sold X to Libya (a very serious no-no).

LIE. Gee Rice, I wonder why NK doesn't want to talk anymore.
