Polls: U.S. Troops Should Remain in Iraq
Recent public opinion on Iraq suggests two basic findings: A majority of people are generally unhappy with President Bush's handling of Iraq and they are resigned to the importance of seeing the commitment through.

Some other results from recent polls on Iraq:

* Six in 10 think the president does not have a clear plan for bringing the Iraq situation to a successful conclusion.

* Two-thirds say the level of casualties in Iraq has been unacceptable, when comparing the goals of the war to the costs.

* A solid majority, about 55 percent, have said for months that U.S. troops must stay until the situation is stable.
...
* A majority of people think Iraq aided al-Qaida before the war and had weapons of mass destruction -- two opinions that have been widely debated.

2. And we're still the ONLY NATION on the planet who ever thought Iraq and
al Qaeda were in any way working together.

We're also the only nation on the planet where the majority STILL DON'T KNOW that Iraq had NO WMD since the early 1990s and NO CAPABILITY TO PRODUCE WMD since the early 1990s and that IN FACT BUSH HIMSELF has publicly admitted it.

HELLO AMERICANS!!!

WAKE THE F*CK UP ALREADY!!!

Thank you.

4. And a solid majority of Iraqis want the U.S. troops to leave -- Now!
"Through in the Abu Ghraib prison abuses along with the decimation of Fallouja and it’s no surprise that seventy percent of Iraqis see Americans as “occupiers” rather than “liberators” and more than half (57%) say that U.S. troops should leave Iraq immediately. "

10. A military draft is long overdue.
It is the ONLY way that the "masses" would begin to realize that the life we/they are living really isn't the prepackaged propaganda that is being spewed over the airways, in the printed media and from OUR elected Politicians (chuckle).

I am sorry to say that I truly believe trying to educate the mesmerized and dumbed down citizens doesn't work. IMO

11. Unfortunately, people just don't wake up
Edited on Sun Mar-20-05 04:22 PM by EST
until they do. People, if they become concious at all, just seem to wake up and sometimes it is coincidental to their being told something or some even ruder change in circumstance. Don't give up the ship-sometimes it may help a little. (sigh)

On edit-once they wake up a little, they, then, have to fight through the shit they already "knew." (shudder) Tough job, even for a tough guy.

12. Perhaps these folks don't know bush** won't fund soldier TBI care?
Edited on Sun Mar-20-05 04:28 PM by leftchick
or perhaps they just don't give a fuck about our soldiers. Just buy a yellow ribbon is all you need to do! :grr:

Brain injury therapy being underfunded (bush slashed funding)

http://www.timesargus.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20 ...

March 18, 2005

According to doctors at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., 60 percent of the wounded soldiers coming back from Iraq have traumatic brain injuries.

Unfortunately, the Bush administration has recently completely zeroed out funding for the Federal TBI Act, which provides exactly this kind of help.

In Vermont, due to recent decisions concerning budgetary shortfalls, TBI survivors are now prevented from entering the Vermont TBI Medicaid Waiver Program, which delivers exactly this kind of help.

Please call the governor (802) 828-3345 and our congressional representatives and ask them to support the Vermont TBI Medicaid Waiver Program.

16. Americans LIE to themselves
each and every they allow this clusterfuck to continue, choosing to believe their "security" is enhanced by a *MIC running amok. Ike laid it out CLEARLY. I wonder, if one went through Anytown U.S.A. and asked simply who "Ike" was, what the demographic response would be...
KARMA is a BITCH.
