Man Showcased at Bush Rally Pleads Guilty to Sex Exploitation (update

This is an update of the story regarding the youth pastor in Des Moines, Iowa--who was charged with having an affair with a 17-year old girl who was a member of his youth group.

Mike Hintz, the youth pastor, was singled out by *, during one of his presidential campaign speeches last fall. * had the entire Hintz family (Hintz, his wife and four children) showcased on stage and touted as a family who benefited from *'s tax cuts.

DES MOINES, Iowa -- A former Clive youth pastor pleaded guilty Monday to three counts of sexual exploitation as part of a plea agreement.

Prosecutors said Mike Hintz, 35, had a sexual relationship with an underage member of his clergy last year. Under the plea agreement, Hintz was sentenced to two years probation. He was also ordered to pay victim restitution, undergo a sex offender treatment program and be entered on the sex offender registry.

Hintz, who is married with four children, is forbidden to have any contact with the victim or anyone else under the age of 18, with the exception of his own children.
