LINDH MURDER SUSPECT LIKELY TO BE RELEASED
The man held in connection with the fatal stabbing of Swedish foreign minister Anna Lindh may be cleared of suspicion and released according to Swedish media reports.

Per Olof Svensson was arrested on 16 September because of his likeness to a man videotaped by security cameras at the store where Lindh was stabbed.

...
Police have until Friday to gather additional evidence after which they must either release Svensson or raise their degree of suspicion against him from low to high.

Swedish news agency TT also reports that it expects Svensson to be cleared.
