China slaps at U.S. on North Korea (They don't trust American intelligence)
http://www.iht.com/articles/2005/03/06/news/korea.html

BEIJING Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing expressed doubt on Sunday that the United States had good intelligence about North Korea's nuclear program and said the onus for easing escalating tensions fell mainly on the United States and North Korea, not on China or other regional powers.

Li's assessment of North Korea, made during an extended press conference during China's annual legislative meeting, amounted to a double slap at the United States. Washington has repeatedly sounded the alarm about Pyongyang's nuclear efforts and pressed China, North Korea's only significant ally, to more actively seek a solution.

President George W. Bush sent a high-level envoy to Beijing last month to present fresh intelligence data that the Bush administration said showed that the North Korean nuclear program was more advanced than previously thought and that it had been selling nuclear materials around the world.

One task of the envoy, Michael Green, the top official handling Asian affairs at the National Security Council, was to dispel Chinese skepticism about the quality of American intelligence, Bush administration officials and Asian diplomats said.

2. When was the last time we here in the US had an "extended press
conference"? Can you even begin to imagine the implications? Is it possible?

China will rule the US one day, mark my words.

6. I wonder if Condi will hear about this
The Chinese have been very disciplined about their diplomacy. If the Chinese feel bold enough to make this kind of statement, it must mean that China feels strong enough to insult the U.S.

I personally would HATE to be under the control of the Chinese government(I've read too many books of how hard that is), but I think Bush is taking steps that will make Chinese domination more likely.

People in the U.S. have no idea how very much Bush has messed up this country economically (think of all the U.S. debt China controls)and politically (Russia, China, India, Brazil, Venezuela, etc. are all plotting to outmaneuver the U.S. on oil supplies).

I've read occasional articles where the Chinese make jabbing remarks at the US: "The Americans must understand...", and "The US would do well to remember.....". Very pointed, and accusatory comments.

After haunting this place for almost 2 years, I've read an awful lot of articles about the way the US has handled foreign diplomacy. They have been like bulls in a china shop, barging their way in and pissing people off left and right with their ham-handed ways.

Because of their lack of diplomacy, they have brought about the very thing that they were hoping to avoid: a polarization of the world, and the emerging world powers turning against them. Like China. And Russia and India.

Washington right now is facing huge losses, enormous setbacks because of this. They are losing out on oil and natural gas deals which are of enormous importance to the US economy. Even Iran is rapidly sealing deals with Russia and other countries.

Chances are that IRAN actually has the world's #1 supply of oil reserves. And we're stuck in the mud in Iraq, spinning our wheels while we "own a country" as Colon Bowel said.

Bush and his cronies are truly Shiva the Destroyer who has arrived, our Nemesis.

25. Ah, but don't forget that according to Condi..
.. China is still the worlds no. 1 enemy (you know, communism & all that). At least, that was her attitude when she entered the job at NSA in 2001, thus setting the US national security back by roughly 10 years. I wouldn't be surprised if she still think that China is the worlds no. 1 enemy.

7. Send In Colin with his SlideShow
With his cartoon bio-labs, etc etc etc. Then I'm sure the Chinese will believe us.

:eyes:

BTW, I'm sure that China is just loving the fact that the U.S. is overextending itself militarily and economically so that we can bark but we will not be able to bite when China wants to do something we don't like.

16. China questions U.S. intelligence on North Korea
http://feeds.bignewsnetwork.com/?sid=2a2219f90223e1f5

Big News Network.com Monday 7th March, 2005 (UPI)

China's foreign minister said Sunday he questions the quality of American intelligence on North Korea's nuclear program, the New York Times reported.

Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing also said the United States will have to talk to North Korea one-on-one to resolve the standoff. The United States has so far rejected North Korea's calls for one-on-one talks.

North and South Korea, China, Japan, the United States, and Russia have held three rounds of talks. But the fourth round, scheduled for September 2004, was cancelled when North Korea refused to participate.

North Korea has asked for negotiations with the United States, something the Bush administration has refused so far.

I question our intelligence too!!!

18. Notice the wording here,
"...the United States will have to talk to North Korea..."

Notice here the Imperative form of the verb. They're not asking the US, they're telling the US what it should do.

I can't think of a single country which does this: tells the US what it should and should not do. It's unique, and of course I know the reason why.

China is holding 4 Aces, and we're holding 2 Joker's and 2 2's. China: "I'll see your 5 and here's 10 more".

US: "I fold".

My 6th sense told me today that the world is running out of patience with us. They are banding together. They're inundating the US with demands, ultimatums, threats, alliances, new contracts, and all-round dirt kicked in their faces.

It seems to be happening en masse, and it's happening quickly. Which tells me they may all be working together. They could have called each other on the phone and agreed to "Snowball" Bush.

Interesting to see what the little weasel will do.

22. China just told Australia to examine their treaty with us.
I'm not so sure all the powers are banding together. I AM sure that they see power vacuums all over the place and are rushing to fill them. China is moving to control the Pacific. Brazil is moving to control Latin America.

And my best guess is that Georgie's little band of merry idiots hasn't a clue, because they never discussed America LOSING power because of aggressive strategies in the MidEast, they only talked about GAINING power. Not a farsighted crew.

24. Actually, this is not a very good situation....
...Herr Busch will react just like any other trapped rat. He will turn and fight once he knows that he's been backed into a corner, and this may make things a lot more tense. The powers backing Herr Busch will not back away quietly because they have no real understanding of why another country would ever tell the US "no".

The real war is going on behind the scenes from a financial/economic viewpoint...look at the number of countries throughout the Middle East, Asia, and Southeast Asia that have begun to pull their investments out of US Markets. This movement started shortly after the invasion of Afghanistan, and accelerated with the invasion of Iraq. That, coupled with the ongoing wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, is causing a great deal of pressure to be exerted on the economic system of the US...and something will have to give very soon.

Also look at the number of countries that have approached each other about forming political, economic and military alliances centered around the separate centers of influence in Europe, Russia, India, and China. Also note the number of requests for meetings/agreements across the boundaries of those different spheres of influence.

All of this is beginning to manifest itself in the form of economic pressure on the American people as US Big Business passes on more and more of their costs of doing business to the American consumer. We are already seeing that in the form of higher gas, utility, and food prices. Decreasing foreign investment means having less economic clout in the rest of the world, a world that is growing increasingly more resistant to US demands. The new bankruptcy laws are designed to keep as many Americans indebted to the US financial system as possible, which adds even more pressure to the US economic engine.
