Pakistan most anti-American country: CRS
http://sify.com/news/international/fullstory.php?id=13674905

Washington: Notwithstanding its cooperation with the US in the war against terrorism, Pakistan is probably the "most anti-American country" in the world right now, according to the Congressional Research Service (CRS).

Pakistan is "probably the most anti-American country in the world right now, ranging from the radical Islamists on one side to the liberals and Westernised elites on the other side," says an updated analysis by the CRS.

The assessment of the depth of Pakistans anti-Americanism is attributed by K Alan Kronstadt, who is in charge of analysing Asian Affairs for the CRS, to a "senior expert".

11. indeed...
the number of nations in which the majority supports the U.S. could be counted on one or two hands. The rest of them have clear majorities against the U.S.

4. What a joke.
Pakistan now takes the #1 spot as the most anti-American country in the world.

And what do we do? Why, we turn around and our "good buddies" several stealth fighters worth several billion dollars, and forgive their loans of around $4 billion (?). Way to go, George. You're certainly showing your good judgement, there.

Meantime, here's the ugly truth about Pakistan. The country is a dictatorship, run by a military man, General Pervez Musharraf. He took over in a bloody coup. It's a muslim country, with some of the most fanatical muslims, the Pashtun and also the Peshmerga(?). But since George never met a dictator he didn't like, Pakistan is #1 on our "most-loved" list, even though we come in last on theirs.

Great group of people.

Noam Chomsky suspects that the Saudi terrorists from 9/11 were trained in Pakistan. Like I said, a great place.

12. A week ago they gave al qaeda $400K- State sponsors of terrorists
by any bushie definition. They funneled it through militants to pay off loans they owed to al qaeda, the story goes. This intended purpose was clearly announced by a named member of a Pakistani ministry.

State sponsored terrorism, right? Funding of terrorists, right? Zip, nada, nuttin' from the US on this.

14. You said it. I'm surprised about the ignorance of people regarding
Pakistan. It's pretty certain that al Qaeda is there now and probably pretty active.

6. No-shit
I've always contended that the real axis of evil has been Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait.

7. Here's why the Reichpublicans don't care ...
(and the US spending has increased significantly from the $399B shown in this pie chart.)

It's the "might makes right" doctrine. Just how many need to be pissed off enough to form a formidable alliance?

13. Pakistan is aiding al Qaeda with shelter at the very least.
Musharif may want to be our friend, but there is pressure from militant factions no to be.

They have nukes, too.

Have a lovely day, US.
