Ralph Reed to Seek Georgia Post in 2006

Thursday, February 17, 2005

(02-17) 10:22 PST ATLANTA, (AP) --

Ralph Reed, former Christian Coalition director, announced Thursday he will run for lieutenant governor in 2006.

Reed, 43, filed the necessary paperwork earlier this month to begin raising money for the race. In his announcement, he pledged to "work tirelessly" for Republican Gov. Sonny Perdue and other party leaders.

"It is long past time for Gov. Perdue and Republicans in the General Assembly to have a lieutenant governor who is a partner in governance and a philosophical ally," he said.

From 1989 to 1997, Reed was executive director of the Christian Coalition, the organization formed by evangelist Pat Robertson.

2. He was dismissed from UGA for plagiarism.
He was also a heavy drinker who drunkenly urinated down the dormitory stairwells. I suppose becoming a Christian Republican made all that okay.

5. But he's BORN AGAIN! It's all good!
I'm sorry, I'm a Christian myself, but some stink you can't wash off. Some stink gets painted over, but it's still there.

8. Working toward changing address to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave
He is too damned vile, slick, and telegenic NOT to have aspirations to be the next neocon poster boy pResident.
