Baghad — U.S. troops manning a checkpoint Monday found four Egyptian technicians who had been kidnapped the previous day in Baghdad, freeing them and arresting some of the abductors, an Egyptian diplomat said.

Egyptians freed, Iraq captors say Italian reporter to follow

BAGHDAD (AFP) - Kidnappers released four Egyptian engineers who had been abducted in the Iraqi capital 24 hours earlier, as a new internet statement raised hope Italian reporter Giuliani Sgrena could also soon be freed. snip

"They were released this afternoon at around 6:30 pm (1530 GMT). They are in good health and no ransom was paid. They should be leaving the country tomorrow early in the morning," said Orascom spokesman Shamel Hanafi.


When asked whether a prolonged breakdown of the mobile network in Baghdad was linked to the capture, Hanafi said: "Maybe."

5. If you don't believe your own posts....DON'T POST THEM!
First the U.S freed them and then you post that they were released. Unless you believe that they weren't set free, or even kidnapped in the first place :tinfoilhat:...then this is good news regardless.
