Bush eyes Nevada land-sale cash
This money should be given to the Western Shoshone and the Paiutes in Nevada, not to the Dept. of Interior or Bush for his failed budgeting. Funny how even the Repugs in Nevada are upset that Bush wants his hands on the land sale money. They waking up to the strong smell of coffee these days?? This man wants to use his poor financial planning doctrines to reconfigure Social Security?

President Bush wants to divert millions of dollars from lucrative federal land sales in Clark County to offset mounting deficits, according to budget documents and congressional officials.

The 2006 budget the president is due to unveil Monday asks Congress to change federal law to direct into the treasury 70 percent of profits from the land sales allowed through the Southern Nevada Public Land Management Act. The money is currently set aside for schools, water infrastructure and to acquire environmentally sensitive lands in Nevada.

Nevada’s federal lawmakers have united against the idea, while officials in Northern Nevada decried potential changes to a program that has successfully preserved sensitive land there.

5. Exactly, all Clark County needs is another 200,000 homes. And
then bush want's 70% of the Indian money. Why doesn't
bush sell off land in West Texas, oh, because not many
people want to live there.
