A surge of violence in Baghdad (Tuesday)
http://www.iht.com/articles/2005/01/25/africa/web.0125iraq.html

At least 11 Iraqi policemen were killed in fierce clashes Tuesday in eastern Baghdad, a hospital official said, and gunmen assassinated a senior Iraqi judge in a series of slayings that highlight the grave security risks in the run-up to this weekend’s elections.
.
Fighting erupted in Baghdad’s eastern Rashad neighborhood as Iraqi police fired on insurgents who were handing out leaflets warning people not to vote in Sunday’s national elections.
.
About the same time and in the same neighborhood, insurgents opened fire on police who were checking out a report of a possible car bomb. Seven police died in the ambush, according to policeman Khazim Hussein.
.
Another bomb blew off the gate of a secondary school in the neighborhood and gunmen opened fire on Iraqi and U.S. forces responding to the blast. A witnesses said two Iraqi policemen and an insurgent were killed.
.
... more. much more... :(

1. I get mixed up on this, their is so much of it.
It just goes on and on. What are we doing to that country? Did you see the movie from Raed in the Middle? It will really make you ill so do it after you eat. It made me think of seeing the films of the Germans going into Russia, we used to see as kids. I think I am just to old and sick of war. They are all starting to look the same. Death and some one saying they are helping someone by doing it.

3. And this is only the start of........................
the week leading up to the elections. By the end of this week, NOBODY will dare set foot outside their home. These elections, unfortunately, are going to be more of a sham than ever imagined. Iraq is in total chaos with nobody in charge. Complete anarchy has arisen courtesy of the Bush neo-cons.
Iraq is in serious, serious trouble. Soon there won't be enough left of the country to worry about.
