Five U.S. Troops Die in Accident in Iraq
TIKRIT, Iraq - Five U.S. soldiers died in a vehicle accident north of Baghdad, the military said Tuesday.

The soldiers from the Army's 1st Infantry Division were pronounced dead on arrival at a military medical clinic. Two other soldiers were injured in the accident, which occurred near the town of Khan Bani Saad on Monday night.

2. This is so morbid.
I hate seeing this news everyday, and not just because more lives have been lost. It's just morbid the way we have our daily death tolls. It never seems to occur to most people that getting these updates is just macabre. Everyday its a few more stories of death. Most people see it, mourn for a few seconds, and continue their lives. It's disgusting.

4. Another point most people don't get..
All of these "traffic accidents" are happening because it is so friggin' unsafe to drive over there, that these soldiers have to drive balls-out so if they want to have any chance of making it from A to B...
