Cheney: Saddam at fault for long Iraq recovery
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6847667/

snip>

Asked to name his mistakes in planning the war in Iraq, Cheney said he had not anticipated how long it would take the Iraqis to begin running their own country. Not until after Saddam was ousted did the United States realize the extent of the Iraqi leader’s brutality in putting down revolt in 1991, Cheney said.

<snip

Unbelievable, After all the sanctions that were imposed, after all the spys and informants that we had, he did not know how bad it was? What a idiotic thing to say and way to put the blame elsewhere.

1. Yes, the problem isn't that we bombed the country into the ground.
It is simply amazing how delusional these idiots are. What is even more astonishing is that nearly half the country still seems to buy their crap.

3. Do you suppose that if Sadam was left in power
that there would not have been any need for a recovery?

4. ROTFLMAO!!!
Gee Rummy, it only took Saddam Hussein's government, under draconian sanctions, 3 months to restore Iraq.

How come the "greatest superpower on earth" can't do it...2 years later??? Oh...it's "Saddam's fault".

LOL!!!

5. That's a misleading headline
Not that I am backing up Dick but that really isn't what he said.
