Trucks carrying Iraqi coins are robbed (Baghdad)

BAGHDAD, Iraq Trucks carrying Iraqi money are the latest targets of insurgents.

A police official says gunmen stopped three trucks carrying new Iraqi coins south of Baghdad and killed the drivers, stole the money and set the trucks on fire.

The trucks were carrying the money from the southern port city of Basra to the Central Bank of Iraq in Baghdad. It's not clear how much money was taken.

The three drivers were among 16 Iraqis killed in attacks today.

I remember coming across a number of stories about trucks full of gold getting stolen after the invasion.

The stupidity of no guard support for this truck!!!

Remember the Natl Gaurd trainees coming home after training where 50 of them were killed? Same thing: No security for them.
