Many motorists honked their horns or waved at the protesters. The driver of one pickup caught by the traffic light at the coliseum entrance rolled down his window and hollered, "We pay the most taxes."

Sitting on the passenger side was Jackson City Councilman Ben Allen. Allen leaned over toward the driver's side and waved a handful of cash at the college-aged women protesters.
