Queens congressman criticizes Bush response to earthquake (Crowley)

snip..............

Rep. Joseph Crowley, a Democrat, said Wednesday that the Bush administration was slow in making a full assessment of the disaster, which he characterized as one of "biblical proportions."

"I think the administration is asleep at the wheel," he said. "I am frustrated right now because anyone can tell this is a massive disaster."

Crowley said he wanted "to be grateful" for the money President Bush already has sent.

"But when you look at what we are spending in other areas of the world, especially in Iraq today, $35 million is a drop in the bucket given the enormity of the loss of life here," Crowley said at a meeting of leaders of the South Asian community in Jackson Heights, Queens, to discuss raising money and collecting supplies to send to the ravaged areas.

1. "asleep at the wheel" - A Summary of Smirk's Performance
Whether it's at an elementary school, nominating Kerik, ignoring intelligence, or NIMBY-ing the tsunami, this is the summation of Bushocchio The Psychopath's behavior - a lot like any puppet whose strings are loose and skull is full of waste.

5. AMEN!!!!
Maybe smirky could cancel his scheduled $40 mil inaguration festivities and give the money to the tsunami victims. How can he go through with this opulent extravaganza for himself and his rich friends when the need for the simple basics like food, water, sanitation, etc., is so great for so many and the suffering is of biblical proportions? I don't get it. Compassion and kindness are qualities of which he has no understanding. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if they all choked on their caviar and filet mignons.
