Bush on warpath over UN's shock report on Iran A-bomb
Bush on warpath over UN's shock report on Iran A-bomb
By Con Coughlin

America will tomorrow demand that the United Nations takes urgent action to prevent Iran acquiring the atom bomb as fears mount that Teheran is on course to develop a nuclear weapons capability within two years.

United States officials will make the demand at a special meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna that has been arranged to consider a 10-page report by Mohammed al-Baradei, the agency's director-general, into the state of Iran's nuclear programme.

Washington has already expressed deep concern about the discovery of traces of weapons grade uranium found in soil samples taken from one of Iran's top secret nuclear facilities last July.

In his report, a copy of which has been obtained by The Telegraph, Mr al-Baradei lists serious concerns raised by UN weapons inspectors about the scope of Iran's nuclear programme, which Teheran continues to insist is aimed at developing a nuclear power industry.

13. Because of the Iraq train wreck
few, if any, beyond the 29% that plan to vote to reelect him will put any credibility into anything he says about Iran being a threat. His political capitol is already into deficit spending.

15. You're right
The guy has no political capital. How is he going to stoke the people's fear this time, blame 9-11 on the clerics?

4. Is he upset over a violation of the non-proliferation treaty?
I can't imagine why; it's just another old, outdated piece of paper. You know, like START or any other agreements the corrupt Bush administration figured they could make more money by ignoring instead of honoring.

7. The IAEA
isn't about to stampede over this, and they are aware of Bush's attempt to politicize it.

It's a non-issue...only Bush is portraying it as anything else.

11. Dear Mr Dumbya
We would like to meet with you at our convenience but we just can't seem to fit you on our agenda. After all, your country might have something of value to say, but then again, you might just be lying. So you lost your credibility? Well boo hooo! (Just joking oh divine one.) Anyway, right now we are engaged in "focus group " building so why don't you just forget about us.

Signed

The World

12. I don't think that
our little squirt of a president can be demanding anything from anybody, especially the UN. I hope that that these bumbling fools will be made to admit all their lies, but on the other hand, it might just be best to get our soldiers in a better and safer situation and get help in there before any more deaths and injuries occur. But, when the time is right, it sure would be nice to see them squirm.

It shouldn't be hard for you to cobble together another coalition to go after Iran, now that the credibility of you and your administration is on the same level as a heap of whale shit on the ocean floor.

20. We will know that Iran poses no threat when the orders are
given to attack them. Our military can't "do" invasions to
countries that fight back. Otherwise we will opt for the diplomacy.

25. A shell game with nuclear weapons
Step right up and find the weapons of mass destruction, look we have some mobile trailers here, a few corrupt exiles there, go ahead pick the shell that's harboring the weapons. Iraq you say? We lift up the shell and poof - nothing there, too bad you lose.

But please play again, just put down another 200 billion dollars ante up a couple of hundred thousand troops and you to can play. Hey I'll sweeten the pot and throw in some contaminated soil. Nobody's a loser in this game. Step right up, don't be shy.

28. It's football season, maybe he'll get drunk and fall on another pretzel
There is no way in hell even this congress gives another blank check to this moron*. No one but no one believes a word it says now. If the pretzeldunt* thought the focus groups were loud last year, just wait until this time.
There is absolutely no way in hell we start another war, we don't have the troops, supplies, allies, money, nothing. The only plausible way is to restart the draft so we have the numbers, or start dropping nukes around the world and then we are fair game for everyone, noone will ever be safe again.
