indeed. You said it very well. I like this especially: It's not what we need. It won't save us. The river is running too hard and fast for the rock to be anything but a temporary handhold. But the only other option is to let go and take our chances in the river. Sure, that sounds brave...but most of us wouldn't survive that. <snip>

That is the way I see it too, though you said it much better than I could have.
