My last few years I taught kids from some very tragic home lives. I speak not of just emotionally harmful, but physically dangerous.

I had a boy come to class after getting his 2 sisters dressed and to school. Their mom went missing during the night, and there were signs of a fight.

One lived with a sibling so dangerous we tried to get help, but he ended up burning their house down. One child died.

I could go on.
