A reproduction of the ship that you can tour, Mayflower II, is in Plymouth, Massachusetts

Plymouth Rock, also in Plymouth, Massachusetts, is now about one third of its original size. (I have no idea how they know which rock it is or what size it was in 1620.)

Sign from reproduction of Plimoth Plantation in modern-day Plymouth, Massachusetts

Every bowl, every piece of furniture was precious.

A plentiful harvest is always welcome, as are the neighbors.

My favorite depiction of the first thanksgiving. But the artist obviously had no idea how cold Massachusetts was in November before global warming.

Wild turkey, said to have been part of the first thanksgiving meal. The meal probably also included a lot of fish and shellfish, like lobster, very plentiful on Cape Cod then.

President Washington's Proclamation about Thanksgiving Day, which apparently is in the National Archives.

Preparing for the 2012 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Hero of the parade

Elves, preparing parade viewers for.......

The reason for the parade, your reminder to shop for Christmas, Kris Kringle, depicted by

Monty Wooley, in Miracle on 34th Street, shown with an adorable Natalie Wood.

After the parade and the movie, it's time to eat. Biggest cooked turkey I have ever seen! Then, my favorite course, dessert.

A beautiful Thanksgiving Day to you and yours.
