folks were attacked and many murdered. Not a great beginning. Male white land owners were the only folks who had any say (and in many ways it remains that way today when you look at the billionaire list... well, with the exception of crazy Walton ladies). But we can take this anywhere we want to go, and I think most of us want some variety of socialism. A more equitable wealth distribution, green policies, basic level of subsistence for all.
