23. I never cease to be amazed at how much of a sort of reverse Universe we are in -
these people get used and kicked in the face all of the time and they go back and vote again for the Republicans. What is it they don't get ... can they really be that F'en stupid. I'm starting to think they really want a third world country. I don't think we are perfect, but IMO the D's are sure a lot better for most people than the R's.

I'm in the middle of watching Harlan County, USA and what keeps coming to my mind is I don't see any sticking up for their rights today. Instead, they do the bidding of the greedy while somehow thinking they are standing up for rights. And I keep reaching the same conclusion as you, "We seem to be living in some weird sort of reverse Universe."

It's like a perpetual Twilight Zone episode, and I keep wondering when Americans are going to wake up to what is going on. I'm starting to lose faith too, I'm on a perpetual roller coaster just hoping the American voters will wise up. Each election for me is another WTF. Here, they have voted in some of the worst critters known to mankind. These people have no interest whatsoever in helping most people. They have voted against every initiative that would help people, yet they keep voting them in ... the stupid here is incredible.
