Date set for Gov. Christie’s meeting with Iowa donors
Advertisements [?]
Late last year New Jersey Governor Chris Christie said nothing "short of suicide" would convince people he will not run for president in 2012.

But some prominent Iowa Republican donors will be flying to New Jersey to meet with Christie to convince him to re-evaluate his life.

Christie still says he doesn’t want to run. But he has agreed to meet with the Iowa group that wants to talk him into running for president on May 31st.

The New Jersey governor has said on numerous occasions that he doesn’t want the job. NorthJersey.com reports that he said on a radio interview Monday morning, "I'm a kid from Jersey who has people asking him to run for president, I'm thrilled by it. I just don't want to do it."

According to recent polls taken in April, Christie isn’t exactly getting a Presidential endorsement from his home state. According to an Associated Press report in the Courier Post, six out of ten residents don't believe Christie when he says he could beat President Obama.
