69. I think that some independents and moderate republicans might be impressed.
There may be independents and Republicans who might have been voting for Republicans out of the belief that the Republicans are tougher on terror. Those people will notice that the Republican response is childish and that the Democratic response is gracious. Thanking Bush does not take away from the fact that the credit for leadership belongs completely to Obama here.
