40. No, I know
I lived most of my life in the South and thought I had moved away from it by moving to Seattle and yet, it's more subtle here. I hate racism. I also hate having people try to censor me using the racist card. I chose Barack Obama, not based on his color but upon his fiery rhetoric. I'm fairly sure, because I'm white, I didn't see his election as being as historic as black people did. It certainly was way, way past time to elect a man or woman of color but I wouldn't have voted for Condaleeza Rice nor Michael Steele, because the first is evil and the second is dumb and they are both Republicans and that counts them out right there. President Obama is one of the smartest humans I have ever laid eyes on. His wife is just as smart and those children of his will lead the world one day, but he appears to have sold that magnificent brain to Washington Beltway, Inc., and I'm not happy about that.

I may, or may not watch the SOTU. I'm not sure yet. His voice doesn't make me cringe like Bush's did but I feel sad when I hear the President's words and then look at the actions. They don't match.
