Attacking someone isn't discourse, it's just an attack, and I feel that there are people who specifically come here to enjoy attacking others.
I posted the rules so everyone would know what the owners of this Website have to say on the matter.
Copy and paste...with added emphasis from me, but copy and paste. That's the way things are supposed to function on DU. During the fund drive Skinner posted on "The DU we deserve."
The DU we deserve is the one that abides by the rules Skinner wrote himself. That's a pretty reasonable request in my book. And I know the mods do their best. Maybe we can all help them do more.
